New Feature

Taking a cue from Jim over at fahrbotz.com, I've added voice commenting via Odeo. Look for the little link at the bottom of each post here and fire away.

why does it say "an" voice comment?

Besause I'm ever-so whimsical.

(and because I'm too lazy to change the template yet again, so it will have to stay that way)

I want Odeo to allow me to hear your other Odeo comments! Just like a regular blog.

You'll have to tell us who rambled on to you.

re: binah:

Yes, it would be nifty to hear the comments. As of now, Jim clicked on the leave comment but either never did (chicken!!!!) or it hasn't come yet, and this other chick told me about a flat tire and the ensuing day of hookie she played. ;-)

However, one *could* download the mp3 that's created by Odeo, and then post. However, I don't have enough webspace to do that, and plus then I'd have to add some sort of warning/disclaimer that all voice comments would be posted, and who needs that.

But maybe.

Well... as it turns out, you get the option of copying html code that will embed the given odeo audio comment on your blog, thus no need for my own webspace.

Maybe I'll do this, unless the person tells me not to in the comment, of course, like, "Don't post this audio or you'll be sorry" sort of thing.

Sigh. Last time.

And, it would appear, you don't even have to imbed, but just use that little url. For example, here is Noah Glass's odeo comment left to Jim.

See how it could work?

You don't need a disclaimer to warn people that their typed comments will be available for everyone to read, so why is it different for voice comments?

I don't think I have a microphone, so I doubt the odeo thing will work for me.

OMG, I love how when you're done it says "THAT TOTALLY WORKED!"

I don't know, you probably isn't different at all. But if nothing else, I am fair and worry about the wellfare of you, my dear readers. ;-)

But apparently you *do* have a microphone.

You no longer sound like you're 12. You now sound... oh, I don't know... 24.
